SKVLT 7" Split Release with PRGNT Records

Along the same time as the Hunting Part 7", Hesitation Wound records will be co-releasing the upcoming SKVLT 7" with our very good friends PRGNT Records. SKVLT is a blackened punk band based out of Amherst, MA. From the first time we heard SKVLT we were floored and they have only gotten better with the addition of a second guitar (although you now miss out on Jack's fronting skills). This record, just like their live set, is loud and brutal. The reverbed drenched vocals don't sound cheesy or played out and match so well with the tone of the rest of the record. Whether you are into punk, hardcore, or black metal this 7" is work checking out. You can download there demo here.

New Release: Hunting Party 7"

Next week we will be sending the next release on Hesitation Wound Records, the Hunting Party 7", to the pressing plant. Hailing from the Bay Area , Hunting Party is a pissed hardcore punk band that reminds me a lot of Born Against. Consisting of members of Migraine, Vaccuum, Ecoli, Yadokai, Face The Rail, Desolation, Synthetic ID, Hunting Party lives up to the rich pedigree of great Bay Area Punk Rock. If you haven't heard their demo yet, I suggest you do yourself a favor. This demo had a lot to live up to after all the ranting and raving people were doing over it and it did not disappoint in the slightest. You can also stream two songs here. We will have the full details on the record (like the name and art) very soon. The record will be out in time for their West Coast tour which will start late March.

State Violence is a hodge podge of members from every other band in DC, including Deathrats, Sick Fix, Hot Mess, and Lotus Fucker. With a demo that barely anyone in DC got their hands on , as well as, a split 7" with fellow DC natives L&T&W to their name, State Violence plays a raw style of punk. This record is noisy at times and raging always. 7 songs in just as many minutes this record rips like the best. You can pick up a copy of the record here. Our new release, Nukkehammer - Soviet Rust Belt, is out now. Originally we were hoping to have the State Violence record out before this, but because of some set backs Nukkehammer took the lead. This record is a split release between Hesitation Wound, Solar Funeral, and SPHC. We are handling most of the US wholesale orders, but because of the limited amount of records we have, we aren't taking many. So act fast if you are interested.

Here is a description of the record:
The first vinyl appearance from this Ohio 3 piece. 7 crashing tracks of mid-paced Rust Belt d-beat punk, mixing a clusterfuck of influences and styles ranging from Kaaos to Gauze to Animosity-era C.O.C. This E.P. contains 5 songs from the demos given proper recording treatment and 2 previously unheard. Analog recording at CDR in Columbus and mastered by Audio Siege for maximum ear piercing ferocity. First pressing of 500. On black and clear (limited).

The State Violence 7" is happening and should be soon. There have been set backs with mixing and mastering but hopefully this will be sent to the pressing plant in a week or two. These tracks fucking slay and Brian and I are really excited to get the record ready. When details on that record are more firm, we will post an update. If you can't wait for this record, we have a few copies of the State Violence split with LTW in our distro. These are redone tracks of the demo that I think 5 people own. The record and covers look awesome and are super well made.

Change of plans...

Unfortunately, Womb Raider has broken up so we won't be putting out the split LP with State Violence. Instead of the LP, a State Violence 7" will be the second release on Hesitation Wound Records. We are really bummed that we won't be able to work with Womb Raider, but wish them luck in their other bands and endeavors. The State Violence recordings are near finished and sound really good. Get stoked for this record.

A Bit of a Delay

Natural Law Slump 7" cover and update

The guys in Natural Law sent us the cover art of the Slump 7" this week. Imprint is printing the covers and should be put in process soon. The records are being pressed currently and should also be done in the near future. We will put up ordering information up in the coming weeks once we know for sure when to expect the records.

UPDATE: Just heard that these records will be done in two weeks.

Natural Law Test Presses Are In.

This week we got the Natural Law test presses in and they sound great. I thought the unmastered tracks were amazing, the actual tracks that got put onto the record put those to shame.

Katorga Works and us have approved the tests and are putting the final touches on the center label. The records should be in production hopefully by next week leaving just the artwork to be finished. We haven't decided when we are going to start taking orders for these but once we know when they will be completely done then we will make a decision.

First release

Our first release will be from the Brooklyn/New Brunswick four-piece Natural Law. It will be a 7" follow-up to their ragging demo tape. We will be splitting the release with Katorga Works from Brooklyn, NY. We are really excited about being a part of this record because this band rips and two of our good friends, Jay and Rob, make up half the band. We will keep you posted on the progress and ordering information as we hear it and figure it all out.
